Meet the Buyer with Sainsbury’s
Scotland Food & Drink is pleased to announce a Meet the Buyer opportunity with Sainsbury’s at the Royal Highland Show, Ingliston on 21st June 2012.
Thu, 21 Jun 2012
Sainsbury’s supermarkets operate 54 stores across Scotland and have ambitions to grow their presence further. The retailer commits to deliver great tasting food and drink by offering locally supplied products wherever possible. The Sainsbury’s sourcing team, based in East Kilbride, are always looking for new products to expand and refresh their range and are currently seeking both branded and Sainsbury’s own label products that will appeal to their shoppers.
They are looking for products across all categories, as well suppliers for their Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference and By Sainsbury’s ranges.
This opportunity would be suited to producers who may be supplying the independent retailers, as well as larger producers, both of whom have an aspiration to supply Sainsbury’s on a local or regional level.
Suppliers must have SALSA accreditation (as a minimum for their brand) and BRC accreditation (as a minimum for supplying Sainsbury’s own brand) and have the capacity to produce sufficient volume to supply their local store. Products will need to be delivered direct to Sainsbury’s store or via the Regional Distribution Depot in East Kilbride.
The Sainsbury’s Meet the Buyer event will consist of a one-to-one meeting with the regional buyer. You will have the opportunity to present your products and discuss your business aspirations and explore the opportunities available with Sainsbury’s.
